Antique 18K Gold Edwardian Men's Cabochon Emerald & Sapphire Pen Pencil Case Set

For your consideration this eye-catching antique men's 18Kt gold pen and pencil set. The case is decorated with neillo geometric patterns and engine turning. The pen (dip variety) and pencil have a cabochon cut emerald and sapphire on the top gold caps. This piece was made for a gentleman to attach to the end of the watch chain as the counterweight to the watch. From the design this would appear to be from the 1910 - 1930 period.

The case is hallmarked 18Kt Rf Casa Tow. The largest overall measurements for this piece are 4 inches long by 3/4 inches wide. The case and gem set threaded pen and pencil tops were tested and are 18K with a total combined weight of approximately 13 grams. The ornate bale was tested as 15K gold filled and the total weight of the set is 20.4 grams. Metal content was tested with a Niton DXL precious spectral XRF analyzer. Presented in very good overall condition. Shows normal wear for age. (See magnified photos)
